Wings for Life World Run 2023: Teleflex ran for those who can’t

The Wings for Life World Run is a global charity run that takes place annually in May. This year’s Wings for Life World Run was held on May 7, 2023. The motto was “running for those who can’t”. Since a large number of Teleflex customers who use intermittent catheters are paraplegic, it was very important to our employees around the world to participate in the event.

The Wings for Life Run is initiated by the Wings for Life Foundation based in Austria. Each participant pays an entry fee, which is donated in its entirety for research purposes.

From hobby runners to top athletes, everyone takes part in the Wings for Life World Run with a shared goal: to help others. All income generated by the participants worldwide (so far over EUR 38 million) goes to the spinal cord research carried out by the Wings for Life Foundation.

The figures for the World Run 2023 are impressive. A total of 206,728 people from 192 nations have registered as participants. A combined distance of 1,573,221 kilometres was covered by the participants and EUR 5,800,000 million were collected in participation fees and donations to be used for various spinal cord research projects.

The EMEA Teleflex Urology team is proud to have once again been part of this great event. 24 Teleflex runners from 10 countries took part and supported the goal of the Foundation to help cure paraplegia with their entry fee.

We are already looking forward to the Wings for Life World Run 2024.
