The French Teleflex Urology Care Team takes up the Kerpape Challenges once again
Present since the beginning of this amazing initiative, this is the third year that the French Teleflex Urology Care Team has taken part in the Kerpape Challenges by attending with a team to support innovation and research projects of the Kerpape rehabilitation center.
Put on hold for two consecutive years due to the health crisis linked to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Kerpape Challenges made their comeback on May 14, in which Teleflex had the pleasure to participate.
This event, which is a triathlon to how solidarity, brought together 45 teams of three people (2 able-bodied and 1 disabled) at the Kerpape rehabilitation center in Ploemeur (near Lorient) to complete swimming, cycling and running events.
Profits from this event are donated to the Kerpape endowment fund and are used to finance innovation projects and purchase rehabilitation equipment.
This year, the Teleflex team was made up of Philipe on a tricycle, who covered the required 5 km, Sébastien, who swam the 200 m, and Frédérique, who ran 1.3 km.
They competed with enthusiasm and a fighting spirit against the other teams in a friendly and positive atmosphere. The sunshine and goodwill were there to accompany the teams and the day ended with a nice picture bringing together the participants, the health care staff and the many families who came to support this event. At the end of the day, muscles were a little tired, but tongues were loosened to discuss the day’s performance and exploits.
See you next year!
