Ready to join the UK Monoski Event in 2025?

The aim of the Freerider Team is to challenge expectations and continue developing teaching techniques that improve and simplify the skiing experience for people with disabilities.

Participants from across the UK will gather in Folgaria to learn new skills, enjoy time together, and share experiences with new friends.
As part of our ‘Empowering Active Living’ initiative, we support users of intermittent self-catheterisation of all age groups in leading an active lifestyle that includes sports and recreation.

We recognise sport as a powerful tool for integration and independence. With a vision to enhance the quality-of-life for individuals with spinal cord injuries, Teleflex aims to help participants learn or return to skiing, giving them a unique opportunity to experience the mountains through tailored ski courses and practice intermittent self-catheterisation in real-life settings.

For years, Trentino has been the preferred destination for this event due to its commitment to accessible tourism, offering barrier-free facilities. Many of its ski lifts accommodate monoskiers, and a range of mountain huts and hotels thoughtfully cater to the needs of people with disabilities. The Alpe Cimbra ski area also features various gentle slopes, providing ideal conditions for regular monoskiers and beginners learning to use a monoski.

Organised by the Freerider Sports Events Association – a long-standing partner of Teleflex – the event features several experienced ski instructors, both seated and standing, who provide individual guidance to each monoskier. Even the police are a supporter of this event to ensure safety on the slopes.

The event includes half-board accommodation in Hotel Muu Village, ski lessons, a ski pass, insurance, equipment use, and round-trip transfers from the airport to the course venue.
