The 3rd of December is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a day to raise awareness of the needs of persons with disabilities and to promote their dignity and rights. This day is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of accessibility, inclusion, and respect in healthcare and beyond. All people, with or without disabilities, have the same rights and should also have the same opportunities in our society. It is therefore important to remind people every year that, despite all the progress made, there is still a long way to go to achieve an inclusive society. This International Day of People with Disabilities, we invite everyone—catheter users, carers, and healthcare professionals—to join us in building a more inclusive society.
