6th International Monoski Event for adults in Folgaria, 9-12 February 2023
In early February, wheelchair users from all over Europe will meet up for the sixth time at an international monoski event. Teleflex will be partnering at this event, which will take place in Folgaria in the Alpe Cimbra ski area.
Since 2013, Trentino has aimed to make tourism accessible to everyone, without barriers. This is precisely why most of the lifts are accessible to monoskiers. The staff working on the lifts are familiar with monoski equipment and are able to help if needed. Many of the huts are also now barrier-free.
The ski area has a variety of low-difficulty slopes that offer ideal conditions for learning to monoski. The Freerider Sport Events Association takes care of organizing and running the event, and offers many experienced ski instructors (sitting and standing), who provide the monoskiers with individual support, depending on their experience.
The cost of participation is 320 euros per person and this includes half board at the Muu Village Hotel, ski school, ski pass, insurance, use of equipment and airport pickup. Due to limited availability of accessible rooms, 2 wheelchair users will be accommodated in a double room. Travel (by car or plane) is the responsibility of the participant.
